William B. Retallick, Ph.D., P.E.

Dr. Retallick co-founded the Catacel Corporation, an Ohio-based company that pioneered the design and manufacture of metal foil-based catalytic reactors.

Catacel has a family of catalyst coatings that adhere tightly to the foil. We are developing a compact reformer that makes hydrogen for a fuel cell. There is combustion on one side of the foil and steam reforming on the other. This work is being supported by a Small Business Innovation Research grant from the National Science Foundation.
